My new digital-first comic, Metal Gods, just launched on the comiXology Submit platform. Please click for previews and purchase links on the comiXology website. Or you can also visit the dedicated Metal Gods mini-site by clicking

It is important to note that Metal Gods is not an all-ages comic. While the road to god knows... certainly deals with mature themes, I've always felt that the story is certainly all-ages (though I'm sure some people might disagree with me on that one). My other graphic novel, Stargazer is definitely an all-ages story and also features children as the main characters. Metal Gods is different from either of these and is definitely for older readers. In other words, it's full of nudity, violence, and adult situations, mainly because the two main characters, Nick and Louella, are adults.

It's also quite a bit of fun and I think readers will share my enthusiasm for it. Here's hoping!

About "the road to god knows..."

The road to god knows... is an original graphic novel by Canadian cartoonist Von Allan. It features the story of Marie, a teenage girl coming to grips with her Mom's schizophrenia. As a result, she's struggling to grow up fast; wrestling with poverty, loneliness, and her Mom's illness every step of the way. With her Mom absorbed in her own problems, Marie is essentially alone while she learns to deal with the chaos in her young life.
